SIMMER'S DIGEST MAY BUILD CHALLENGE

Welcome to our first ever Build Challenge!

We are thrilled to be hosting our first ever build challenge, and here are the details.

You have until May 25th 2020 to get your build created and uploaded to the gallery
Use the tag #SDBuild1 when you upload it
Above is the house you will be creating. Please keep builds CC Free, use any packs you'd like
We will showcase the homes on May 31st on YouTube (possibly more than one video depending on number of submissions)
All submissions will also be showcased here on the site as well as on our Instagram account

Get Creative!

This challenge is meant to be fun and push your creativity to the test. While the goal is to make the house look and feel like the ouse pictured above, the interiors, landscaping, and everything in-between is all up to you. Have fun, and I can not wait to see what you create!

Let's Watch Chapter 36

One of the first things you will notice about the Simmer I am showcasing this week- Emily (@steeliesims)- is her fantastic energy. From her super down-to-Earth introductions to her addictive voiceovers, Emily will have you hooked on her videos from the first watch. She is so easy to listen to! The series I love the most from her is the 7 Toddler Challenge- because I can relate! I have dealt with a bunch of toddlers in-game all at once and it was infuriating. @steeliesims makes it looks easy, in the beginning anyway! We kick off the first chapter with an introduction to the gorgeous Wilburn family and watch them all begin to interact with each other. @steeliesims explains that she is merging the challenge with the Toddler Stuff pack- voted for by her community- and this theme continues through the whole series.
Part of the challenge is to get the toddler’s skills up to Level 3 and aged up to childhood... without them getting taken away! Sounds simple right? Well- we go on to watch @steeliesims holding her head in frustration as one toddler wakes the others every night, tantrums, potty training, broken sinks, toddlers out in the garden at 5am… You see where this is headed! Funnily enough, watching @steeliesims doing this challenge has made me want to try it as well!
Will any of the toddlers get taken away, will we get to the amazing birthday party @steeliesims has planned? Watch the series to find out! Emily also has brilliant speed builds, shell challenge and specific pack videos. Binge watch this lovely lady’s channel now!

Let’s Watch Guidelines

1. Take time within the week to watch and comment on at least one video from the chosen Simmer. (let’s keep the feedback positive)
2. Feel free to watch more of the series and leave multiple comments. The goal is to engage with the Simmer and each other and help promote the Simmers channel.
3. After you’ve watched the video (or videos) share a link to the Simmers YouTube channel on what ever social media platform you wish to get others interested in the creator.
4. Each week I will post the series here on this site and Tweet it to let anyone who is participating know who we are watching. (Simmer’s and their series will be chosen at random each week)

Let's Watch chapter 35

My previous articles have all showcased various (fantastic) Simmer’s Lets Play series. But this time dear readers let me introduce you to a Simmer that can do it all. Renovation videos, Create a Sim, Speedbuilds, Let’s Play’s… @beeleyyt literally breathes the Sims.
With a video going up almost every day, @beeleyyt is a powerhouse. If you’re looking for realistic, achingly beautiful homes for your Sims head on over to the Gallery. We see some mesmerising builds within the Sims Community, but with these builds you can literally download and play. Cottages, apartments, tiny homes, dorms, caravans, family homes.. @beeleyyt’s builds cater for any Sim family. Each one is super detailed and built with love- did I mention they’re all CC free too?!
@beeleyyt's three Let’s Play’s are full of character and diversity. They explore family, the rocky path to fame and much more. My favourite will have to be the Sulani family from Breaking Traditions, their home is fantastic and the Akina family really help introduce you to island life. Naleah is the star for me, leaving the island life behind and exploring the city life. Will Sulani call her home or will she become a city girl? You'll have to watch to find out.
Every CAS video on @beeleyyt's channel is a small labour of love. The thought behind each Sim and the detail she describes really draw you into each character. They also look so natural and real- thanks mostly to @beeleyyt's eye for detail. Detail is what @beeleyyt is all about, in every aspect of her channel. Approachable, down to Earth, entertaining and talented she really is the perfect Simmer.
