Sims Mobile TeaserSimmers are a notoriously insatiable crowd, and mobile Simmers are no exception.
Though Sims Mobile recently released a massive update to gameplay, one that more tightly entwined LlamaZoom tasks with core in-game goal-setting, players began to quickly look to the horizon for the next big change. Though the mobile Sims community is not due for a major overhaul just yet, it is due for a smaller update which should include Sweet Treats, Wumples, and a parade of purchasable packs. Thursday morning, Firemonkeys finally dropped a substantial teaser on Twitter, posting a crisp graphic of a female Sim snapping a picture of herself. She is surrounded by items brand new to the game: a new workbench, a hall tree, a plush beanbag, a succulent plant, new wall lights, and what may be a new striped carpet. She also sports a new hairstyle, a thick textured bun, and is wearing a new set of colorful overalls and a striped shirt. Are the new build/buy items upcoming Sweet Treats prizes? How about the CAS items? Does the camera mean the addition of a camera mode? Stay tuned right here as we keep you updated to the minute! Beautiful BathroomsYour bathroom doesn’t have to be a boring room where you slap down some crusty toilet and a shower. Transform this room into an area of luxury and retreat using these tips! ———————————————————————————- 🧼 Resist the rookie mistake of pushing all furniture to the edges of the room. Let your furniture, especially lux-looking tubs, take up space in the middle of the room. (Note how Moiken Lorenzen’s tub is featured at the center of her room, Irimiel Emlurathian’s ottoman is the middle of hers, and mine has a luxe seating area.) 🧼Use interesting room shapes that help demarcate sections of the room. (For example, in my T-shaped bathroom, I fit my luxe tub into the “stem” of the T. Moiken’s Z-shaped room divides her tub and laundry area from her shower and toilet area) 🧼 Add an ultra luxurious aura with a fireplace! 🧼When in doubt, add seating and floor rugs to fill space 🧼Give your Sims the romantic bathroom they deserve with low, hued lighting. (Use candles, fireplaces, string lights, or colorful floor or ceiling lights for this.) 🧼 Instead of tile, use a stone, marble, or wood floor to give your bathroom instant pizzazz 🧼Do not fear wall art and windows! Add discrete windows and modern wall art to make your bathroom feel like less of a damp little box. What is your favorite thing to add in a bathroom? Comment below! Want more Tips & Tricks? Early July brought a slew of impressive updates for the Sims Mobile: Knox strolled into Simsville touting his plans to transform an abandoned shipping container into a grand community maker’s space; Sims Mobile Game Changers gave the details for two new Wumples quests, a barrage of purchasable packs dropped, and players began a Sweet Treats Showdown which rewarded them with mid-century modern furniture, a bunkbed, and a retro record player. However, early July also brought a host of new problems for the game. The most prevalent and pressing problem is the infamous party glitch, swelled into new, more monstrous life with this update. Sims Mobile veterans are no stranger to party glitches. Late 2018 saw Sim parties glitch around level 10 and then boot all players in the party without granting fashion gem credits. The party would abruptly end, leaving the host with a party-less lot. In 2019, Sim partygoers saw their fellow Sims slowly disappear at parties. Thus, after a few minutes, only the host’s Sims were visible. Of course, this affected player sticker count, but Sims Mobile players are resilient bunch, and they soldiered on despite these issues. The newest party glitch is, to put it in the most literal of terns, game-breaking. Currently, when a player throws a Sim party, not only will the party crash and boot the players, but it will also crash the host’s game, rendering it impossible to log back into the game. Some Simmers, like user Lifeinapan, are unable to host parties at all. Parties are an essential Sims Mobile game mechanic. Through parties, Simmers earn fashion gems for Izzy, connect with their friends, explore Simmers’ homes, and show off their impeccable fashion sense. It is a feature which largely sets Sims Mobile apart from its PC and console counterpart: Sims 4, by introducing a social aspect. This social, “multiplayer” feature is what has created such a vibrant, tight-knit community, so this particular glitch has been the final gut-punch for many players. Annoyed, Simmers have chosen to skip parties all together or, in worst case scenarios, quit the game. Sunday, July 26th, user LifeinaPan inquired about this glitch with the gurus. SimGuruMegz responded with disheartening news: while developers are currently investigating the issue, there is no update on a fix at this time. Simmers can only hope that these investigations yield results soon. Party lists are dwindling, and the community grows increasingly restless.
Have you experienced the infamous party glitch, tell us your story below in the comments. As always, stay safe, wash your hands, and happy Simming. Although the Sims Mobile community is hot off the heels of the massive Eco Workshop update, Simmers are already itching for more content. Some of the insatiable community at large has already fully upgraded their Eco Workshop, found and married Knox, and continue to plug away at all four unlocked Eco Workshop slots. The question on everyone’s lips is now: “What’s next?” Twitter user Hamza posed this query to the Sims Mobile Gurus Sunday evening, receiving a characteristic teaser from SimGuruMegz. What could the next update be?
Much of the Sims Mobile community is itching for a base game update, in which the often rampant game glitches are addressed and certain game elements such as careers, hobbies, and relationships receive an desperately needed refresh. Of course, some players dream of Sims Mobile pets, pools, and more playable Sims. What do you expect next in Sims Mobile? Share your thoughts below in the comments! Until next time, stay safe, stay sane, and happy Simming.

Lately, we’re all thinking a little more about our plastic use, our carbon footprint, and the kind of world we want to leave for our children. Why not reflect that in the Sims?
It was another quiet week in Sims Mobile land. As Simmers around the globe build new eco-friendly homes and work their fingers to the bone in Knox's EcoWorkshop, there has been little to no movement as far as Sims Mobile news. However, don't be dismayed. As July is ending quickly, and we are due for another slew of updates and events. Stay on the lookout for news about a brand new Sweet Treats, next month's Wumples, and maybe even another grand gameplay update further down the line. Even so, the last week of July does bring an event to which Simmers can look forward. Wumples returns in-game with a new gamut of shifts, events, and bouts of intensive handwashing in order to bring players two new CAS items. The first is a unisex snapback cap, and the other item is a pair of super short shorts, imprinted with floral decollage. These shorts are only for male Sims. I have a Sim named Alaeryn, who is also very often my online persona: it's how you can find me on Twitter, Instagram, and a whole host of other social media platforms. This is because for the past decade I built a world around him and a ragtag team of revolutionaries in my debut novel, "The Reaching." If you're a fan of fantasy, a fan of strong black leads, a fan of stories that involve the underdog overthrowing the powers that be, you'll love The Reaching, a high fantasy novel that follows the tribulations of Alaeryn Emlu'rathian. After breaking with his elven tribe and assimilating into the West culture of humans, Alaeryn uncovers their brutality, the injustice of the world around him, and the monstrous divine gift that lurks inside him. Join him as he and his friends topple the very patriarchal system that has oppressed people around Avaria for ages. Find it now on Amazon, and thank you. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DC5GCQS |
