game update aka Shopping Cart gate
Merely a day into the game update yesterday and the community is a buzz with complaints, not the typical ones either like mods and CC breaking issues.
Several community members experienced a new addition to the game, a pulsing shopping cart at the top right of their game play screen, begging you to click only to learn of packs you can buy, and for those of you who own all the packs only to be pestered with its gyrating cartiness. It's purpose, as far as we can tell, is to get you to SPEND more money with the goal of eniticing you to click it and see what packs you may want. While the idea is sound, it feels to the community at large to not only be obnoxious, but possibly triggering issues for those who have visual impairments or suffer from seizures. The SimsCommunity posted to X yesterday showcasing this fun new addition, which apparently can not presently be stopped from pulsating

Reddit user, InterviewLeast2278, shared one of their brilliant CAS creations on Reddit this past week showcasing their glow down version of some iconic townies, and I personally LOVE them, somehow they just feel a bit more authentic or real and seriously just love how each player sees and transforms their won gameplay with these conic sims. Check it out below and let us know in the comments, whether you would call them a Glowup or a Glowdown or something altogether different .
While on Reddit, we also came across something new. Not only can your Sims romantic photo booth actions be captured in a most loving way to be stored as a treasured memory, but their rejections can also be captured and showcased on the walls of your sims house, thanks to Reddit user: LittleHybrid.

Well it happened, again, but this time it was from the EA Store itself. Thanks to the quick grab and share from The Henford Hen on X (formerly Twitter...can we stop doing this yet) The EA store shared this (temporarily) showcasing what we all suspect to be the next Kit released "Castle Estate Kit". Presumably we will getting a Build Buy kit focusing on Castle like elements.

Horses...are they coming?
Rumors have been swirling within the Sims community about the possibility of a highly anticipated expansion pack centered around horse ranches in The Sims 4. Enthusiastic players have been eagerly speculating about the potential features and gameplay elements this pack could bring. Speculations range from the inclusion of a new rural world with sprawling pastures and stables to a wide variety of horse breeds to choose from, each with their own unique traits. We were promised a HOT update from the team awhile back and they...delivered? Well we leave that up to you to decide as it seems the community is a bit divided on this one.
The team decided to update the Caliente family including: Katrina Nina, Dina and even Don Lothario. Hidden Features
You can teach an old Simmer new tricks, and we want to thank Simmer @Plantylsims on twitter for sharing this tip, that I had never seen/heard of before for making changes to you sims face on PC while in CAS and keeping the camera in close mode.

Ruddy interesting...Eco Lifestyle and how it interacts with other packs
Simmer @NaniSimming on Twitter shared this gem this past week about effects of pollution in our Sims lives that I found vastly interesting.
I had no idea that the pollution ( brought to us with the Eco Lifestyle pack) had so many different effects tied with the other packs.
From Pollution having negative effects on vampire powers (who knew those plasma suckers preferred clean air) to the fact that Spell Casters can use their magic to rid themselves of those pesky flies and roaches.

I had no idea that the pollution ( brought to us with the Eco Lifestyle pack) had so many different effects tied with the other packs.
From Pollution having negative effects on vampire powers (who knew those plasma suckers preferred clean air) to the fact that Spell Casters can use their magic to rid themselves of those pesky flies and roaches.

#SimJews update
For those of you who did not know, Simmer @HufflePom on Twitter, has spent everyday of this past year asking the Sims team to add more Jewish cultural representation to the game. While the Sims team continues to expand and add new cultures and inclusivity to the base game via updates, we have not heard any news in response to this effort to bring in more Jewish Cultural elements, until NOW.
With the latest update to the game we received wearable health items and Simmer @Mimzyplays tweeted about it tagging HufflePom in hopes of this being a sign of getting more representation.
To our delight @SimGuruAsh replied back to the tweet (featured below) stating that:
"Things for cultures of faith are on our list, too. It's just a matter of time, where resources fall, & all the different things waiting on our list"

While we are on the subject of the latest update, we got a lot of newness, including many new options for our transgender sims, and more.
Many Simmers are over the moon excited about the continued efforts by the Sims team to be more inclusive, and we hope it is a sign of even more base game updates to help us all create our Sims, their homes, and help our Sims to live their best lives.

While we were getting lost in all the gems from the Sims4 secrets post, we were amazed to discover a method to raise and lower the glasses on your Sims face, something I ( a life long Simmer) never realized was an option. Check out the video below to learn how to.
