Summer Paradise is here! The Firemonkeys development team has finally unveiled that their latest Sims Mobile update - Summer Paradise - will drop August 12th at 3:30 AM UTC! Following the success of their recent “Hello, Japan!” update, Sims Mobile developers quickly pivoted to provide players a summer season theme in the newest update. This update, which includes two new treasure hunt events, two Sweet Treats Reruns, and a fresh festival for Mobile players to enjoy, is called “Summer Paradise,” and it offers Simmers the summer fun, sun, and surf needed to properly close out the season. Counted among the update’s brand new Mobile assets are some of the Build/Buy and Create-a-Sim objects from Sims 4: Island Living, Sims 4: Backyard Stuff, and the free Hispanic Heritage Month items from the October 2020 base game update. The Sims Festival is a bi-monthly event that rewards daily players with not only Create-a-Sim items, Build/Buy assets, and in-game currency but also the feeling of game progression, which Sims Mobile sorely lacked for many years. As the player completes certain daily and seasonal (long-term) tasks, the game gives pink progress tickets. As players collect tickets, they unlock tiers of prizes, with higher tiers requiring more tickets. Summer Paradise’s free track offers Simmers a single wooden door, a summery shell necklace, a double wooden door, and a signed autograph from Nalani, the newest Sims Mobile NPC and star of Sims 4: Island Living. Simmers who buy the Festival pass for $9,99 USD, unlock Nalani as an NPC, her hair, Nalani’s sheer top, her skirt, a ceiling fan, a water slide, a tropical sofa, a new roof pattern, a house template the comes with a small blue car, sunscreen make-up, tropical plants, humble wall patterns, and crossed spear torches. But this highly-anticipated update also brings two new Treasure Hunts, too! Infographic by Game Changer Salix Cat. In return for digging and dusting for relics and golden bunnies, players can earn more beach-themed prizes in the upcoming “Beach Retreat” Treasure Hunt. Floral-patterned clothing, elegant wooden furniture, comfortable sand shoes, a lazy hammock, and a fresh flower crown all await hot-weather hopefuls in this vibrant hunt. This Treasure hunt drops August 11th at 11:30PM EST. The Beatnik Treasure Hunt will trigger in game September 11th. This hunt will bring some casual CAS items, modern beds and seating, a hip geometric window, and a steam room grand prize. The complete list of products are pictured below. The update also comes stuffed with purchasable packs, all of which can be perused below thanks to a comprehensive infographic from Game Changer Simmerdown Mal. Two Sweet Treat events come folded in Summer Paradise. After baking, mixing, and frosting pastries in a reality-show like competition, players earn the tokens they need to exchange for new game assets. The Catwalk Fabulous Sweet Treats, rerunning September 26th, will offer players the sleek modern furniture and head-turning CAS worthy of September’s fashion week. The grand prize is a the top-earning modeling career. Conversely, the Country Living Sweet Treats drops August 27th. It’ll offer players the classic country build/buy and simple clothing well-suited for any cottage-core dream. Naturally, Summer Paradise also comes with two new Wumples Wishlists. Wumples #63 offers two clutter items: a domed platter and a chopping board filled with fruits and vegetables. Wumples #64 offers two Sims 4: Spa Day items: an elegant lotus bloom candle and the large, bright lotus floor decoration. Lastly, folded into the update are cultural items to celebrate Hispanic Heritage in September and October. On September 15th, Sims Mobile players will enjoy vibrant dining tables, dining chairs, a traditional grill, a pergola climbing with begonias and ivy, and a brightly colored mosaic— a very large, beautiful bit of wall art.
