Simmer Feature -MPAWssible by Techn0Babble
All is quiet on the Sims Mobile front this week as Simmers around the world deep dive into Eco Workshop, the current Wumples quest, and the tail end of July's Sweet Treats. But don't let your guard down, Simmers! The Gurus always have a little something up their sleeves, and it'll be time for another major gameplay update before you know it.
In the meantime, let's briefly review the currently running events. Eco Workshop, a brand new mechanic introduced to the game just nine days ago, is a permanent fixture in the game irrevocably tied to LlamaZoom, an older game mechanic. A quaint nook of a building located in Parkside, the Eco Workshop allows players to craft items from past live events and packs by crafting materials during "workshop shifts." During these shifts, Simmers can produce thread, tape, or nuts and bolts. Their diligent Sims use these items to "craft" coveted clothes, karaoke machines, basketball courts, hair styles, furniture, and far more. Because the building is upgradable with recycle coins earned from LlamaZoom, Simmers must also buckle down with Emily, the LlamaZoom van driver. As a result, many Simmers have reached the pinnacle of Mobile Sims achievement: level 60, the current game cap. The Wumples for this week began on July 13th. Players who satisfy Wumples's wishes for five days in a row will receive a fresh and fruity crate table and a Food for Thought wall art. The next Wumples will drop July 27th. Lastly, Mid-Century modern Sweet Treats winds down this week. Players bake, frost, and sprinkle their way into NPC Patty Cake's heart in a reality show-like contest to win mid-century modern furniture such as a retro couch, a modernist sink, an angular lamp, a squat wooden side table, a timeless turntable stereo, and, of course, the best friends bunk bed. Players will also receive the dutch braids hairstyle for women if they complete the Sweet Treats events. That is all for Sims Mobile news, but there's always something on the horizon! Check out the Gurus on Twitter and join their #EcoLifestylePledge to make our world a better place. Stay safe, stay sane, keep washing your hands, and happy Simming!
The Eco Workshop, which begins as a lonely shipping container, evolves as the player upgrades it with recycle tokens. Players can earn these tokens by participating in LlamaZoom. The higher a player's game level, the more tokens they can expect to earn from each LlamaZoom. As the Eco Workshop upgrades, it gains angular windows, a grass-lined roof, a seating area, upgraded tools and workstations, and much more. An upgraded Eco Workshop rewards the player with shorter shifts, the ability to craft more materials per shift, increased material storage, and other similar upgrades that make crafting simpler and faster. Once the Eco Workshop is fully upgraded, the player earns a trophy they can place in their homes.
Sweet Treats Showdown, the special Sims Mobile event that encourages players to bake, frost, and sprinkle delightful pastry delicacies in a reality-show like arena, began anew on July 7th. This Sweet Treats features a host of mid-century modern furniture and cas items such as: a comfy knitted cardigan, a steady standing lamp, a suspended kitchen shelf, trendy tartan pants, an angular living lamp, an oval wall mirror, a set of beautiful plants and books, and a metro modernist side table in the sweet boxes. The royal boxes offer a ready retro couch, a bohemian hopeful bed, a metro modernist sofa, and a wooden mod chair. And finally, the grand prizes of this event, one of which has shaken the Sims community at large, are a timeless turntable stereo, a dainty dutch braid crown, and the long-coveted best friends bunk bed. Sims 4 players balked at the inclusion of bunk beds in Sims Mobile, an item for which they have long petitioned Maxis.
A pack called Cluttered and Cool rolled into the game alongside the current Sweet Treats. Offered for $8.99 USD, this pack came with deer print artwork, a metro modernist bureau, a metro modernist coffee table, a tidy up bathroom shelf, a bit of ambiance plant tray, a ready retro ottoman, and 9,000 simoleons. The modest and modern pack drops in game on July 20th, offering a wooden mod desk, a modern and short dresser, new wall art, a bohemian hopeful rug, a ready retro chair, a modern and tall dresser, and 9,000 simoleons. This pack will also cost 8.99 USD. A final slew of paid packs are designed to populate in-game at certain upgrade stages of the Eco Workshop. The game will offer Simmers their first upgrade pack before their first shift at the Eco Workshop. This pack, aptly named the "Eco Workshop Starter Pack," costs $4.99 USD and rewards the player with 15,000 simoleons, 100 SimCash, and five cupcakes. "Eco Workshop upgrade 1" populates just as the player unlocks the Eco Workshop. Containing 200 recycle tokens, 200 SimCash, 5,000 simoleons, a bent plywood chair, and patchwork shorts, this pack costs just $2.99 USD. "Eco Workshop upgrade 2" pops for players at Stage 2 part 3 of the Eco Workshop upgrade. For $7.99 USD, it gives players 600 recycle coins, 600 SimCash, 10,000 simoleons, a Jigsaw Jubilee chair, and the infamous denim skirts combo. "Eco Workshop upgrade 3" arrives in-game at Stage 3 part 1 of Eco Workshop upgrades, and it costs $19.99 USD. This pack boasts 1,000 recycle coins, 1500 SImCash, 15,000 simoleons, a Lively Living Chair, and a lovely layered dress. "Eco Workshop upgrade 4" triggers when the Eco Workshop reaches upgrade Stage 4 part 1. For 29.99 USD, players will receive 1,750 recycle tokens, 3,000 SimCash, 20,000 simoleons, a chill canvas loveseat, a herringbone wall panel, and padded denim joggers. "Eco Workshop 5" populates in game when the Eco Workshop reaches upgrade stage 5, part 1. This massive pack offers a whopping 3,000 recycle tokens, 5,000 SimCash, 30,000 Simoleons, the lively living sofa, the tiled and true dresser, and "it's happening overalls" for men. All of this will cost the player a hefty $39.99 USD. Finally, "Eco Workshop 6" emerges in game when the Eco Workshop reaches Stage 5 part 6 of 6. This pack is gargantuan, boasting 8,500 recycle tokens, 7,500 simcash, a cool 50,000 simoleons, a chill canvas lounge, and henley overalls for women. Players can expect to score such a pack for a whopping $49.99 USD.
