Featured: SimstressClutter is KeyThe most discerning of Sim builders and interior designers know that there is a fairly simple trick to make a room look warm and inviting: clutter.
What is clutter? Clutter is a subset of Sim decor which often serves no purpose but to take up space. However, it is in these varied odds and ends that designers give their living spaces life. Consider Farhana Norhisham’s cafe! By adding items such as prepared meals, wooden trays, utensils, a rack of clean dishes, a stack of pies, and decorative flowers, Hana makes her space appear /lived-in./ You can imagine her Sims bustling around her shop drying dishes, sleepily brewing coffee, or grabbing a cold pressed drink on a warm day. 🏡 Fill the wall space with shelves 🏡 Experiment with large, medium, and small table decor. 🏡Add a pop of life and color with houseplants 🏡Note that not all decor is created equal: the salt and pepper shakers take up far less counter space than a pot of flowers, so you may find unexpected places to fit small clutter. 🏡Make use of kitchen hatches: enclosed shelves that house dishes 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 🏡Note that /modern/ builds do not need to appear “homey,” and therefore do not need clutter. Renovate your Space UpdateThe time surrounding an impending, anticipated Sims Mobile update is electric. Simmers, aware that Mobile Gurus tend to update the game on a monthly basis, get antsy around the end of each month; they buzz with excitement and speculations, especially as the studio drops hints about what is to come. Sure enough, Sims Mobile Game Changers took players on another wild ride Saturday August 1st, All of a sudden, the information gates opened and Mobile Simmers everywhere were met with a deluge of information. Players learned that, come August 3rd, a new Sims Mobile update would allow Simmers to enjoy camera mode: an in-game widget that removes user interface for clearer pictures, allows the player to toggle between day and night mode for screenshots, and introduces the ability to choose wall configuration: up, down, or cutaway. This was something highly requested and already expected from the team, but incredibly, Game Changers also revealed more jaw-dropping news: the ability to build a fourth floor on each lot. At level 30 or above, players will be able to add a fourth floor to their builds. Costing a hefty 200,000 simoleons, the fourth floor addition is sure to thrill builders everywhere. Of course, this update comes with a whole host of new events: Sweet Treats, Wumples, and purchasable packs to propel players through it all. Sweet Treats: Dream GarageThe newest Sweet Treats Showdown will arrive in game August 3rd alongside the huge update! It will feature a barrage of new items players will need to build the ultimate hobby space. Such mancave materials will include items such as: workbenches, buckets, mudroom shelving, a garage door, a foosball table and far more. Players will get ready to bake, sprinkle, and frost their way into a brand new, quirkily carless garage. Wumples: Top Hats and MenswearWumples #34 coasts into Sims Mobile on August 9th to present players another set of grueling tasks in exchange for two dapper CAS prizes. This time, Simmers can earn a unisex fancy lace tophat and a vested interest vest for men. Purchasable PacksMobile Simmers are no strangers to the somewhat endless parade of purchasable packs in-game. Each update offers more, and they add varying levels of value to gameplay.
This update is no different. August 3rd, Simmers will have the opportunity to buy the Simoleon Cactus Pack; this wildly lucrative pack will be $6.99 USD, and it offers the following:
The Sunshine Styles pack is a simple CAS pack with a some clothing items for women. For 9.99 USD, mobile Simmers will enjoy:
Finally, in order to assist players in their four-level home aspirations, the Sims Mobile team will offer a premium build pack called “The Fourth Floor Booster” pack. At a whopping $59.99 USD, this pack will pour game currency into player pockets. How much currency? Try:
