Jungle Rush - Update OverviewAfter a few days of Twitter teasers, Sims Mobile developers rolled out their newest update via a series of EA Creator content. This fresh update, which will trigger in-game on July 18th, is entitled "Jungle Rush," and it will feature assets worthy of any self-respecting jungle adventurer. Though a Sim Festival, a new Sweet Treat Showdown, two new Treasure Hunts, a special edition Wumple's Wishlist quest, a purchasable jungle lot, and a series of repeated pack options, "Jungle Rush" offers players a verdant trek through some of Sims 4's Jungle Adventure and Outdoor Retreat Create-a-Sim and Build/Buy content. Many thanks to SalixCat and Michiiiro for the infographic. Jungle Rush: Sim FestivalOn July 18th, Mobile Simmers can begin the Jungle Rush Sim Festival. By performing everyday, in-game activities, players are rewarded with pink tickets as currency. As Simmers collect more pink tickets, they can advance along one of two different in-game "tracks," a paid track and a free track. This is, of course, not new to seasoned Mobile Simmers, but newbies may also recognize this feature as the infamous "battle pass" monetization method from games such as Fortnite or Call of Duty. Naturally, the free pass offers Simmers a few jungle-themed items - thick, hanging vines, moss-covered stones, ancient-looking wallpaper, towering palm trees, a tropical-wooden bench, and a slew of in-game currency. However, the paid track offers Simmers far more rewards. Initially, having paid the 9.99 USD for the "premium track," Simmers will get to welcome the devilishly handsome King Raymundo as an NPC. This swarthy, masculine Sim hosts the Sim Festival this time around, and Sims franchise OGs will recognize him as the mummy from Sims 3, newly, deliciously de-mummified. As usual, Simmers will be able to befriend, betroth, or beleaguer King Raymundo at the heart's content. Following the procurement of fresh Sim meat, Simmers who have purchased the premium festival pass will then begin progressing along tiered rewards which slowly increase in value. Players can earn a four-o-clock shadow beard, jungle wear, a new desk, wooden flooring, an intricately engraved wooden door, thick hanging vines, a beautifully carved wash basin of stone and glass, a large monstera plant, a new coffee table, fresh fencing, a turban, and a new house template. 74 Summer Lagoon + Lagoon Lodge Designer HomeAlong the paid track is the new designer home, Lagoon Lodge. A little home covered in vines and filled with many of the jungle items offered in this update, the premium home fits neatly on the new available lot. The new lot is an island off Briny Heights' mainland. Surrounded with warm blue-green water teeming with purple, squirming fish and thick foliage, 74 Summer Lagoon is a 10x15 lot that Simmers can buy for 7.99 British Pounds or 9.99 USD. Treasure Hunts & Sweet TreatsThe Jungle Rush update will come with two new Treasure Hunts and a Sweet Treat Showdown event. "Daunting Dusk" will begin August 1st and the "Hallways Ready" treasure hunt, which is back-to-school themed, will run August 29th. Both events require players to dig up golden bunnies and ancient relics as in-game currency. Simmers can exchange these currencies for a variety of themed prizes, as pictured below. Sweet Treat Showdown: Island Posh will begin August 15th, and it will offer players several island-ready assets in exchange for competing in a reality show-like bake-off. Many thanks to Rachybop for the EA Creator screens! Wumple’s Special List: The King’s HoardInterestingly, a special Wumple's Wishlist will also trigger in-game as a part of this update. Through "The King's Hoard," players will be able to complete tasks and earn many past Wumple's Wishlist items alongside two new items as pictured above.
As always, many thanks to the hard-working Sims Mobile EA Creators who create lovely infographics and videos for the Sims Mobile community.
