SimGuruDragon: Mobile Cheats Break Terms of Service

Sims Mobile developers released a crystal clear indictment of the often seedy APK and modded practices that have grown in popularity amongst Mobile players.

While complaints of the game’s instability surge, Sims Mobile developers have looked into some of the game’s glitches. Some players have reported crashing, graphical errors, or massive data deletion and corruption.

Many of these complaints come from legitimate and honest accounts, but some accounts, Sims Mobile developers explain, crash as a direct result of their modded nature.

​“Hello Simmers!” the EA team note begins. “Please bear in mind that the use of modded APKs or 3rd party apps may cause problems in your game including the loss or corruption of data. In those cases, we, unfortunately, won’t be able to assist or support you with your game issues. Thank you for your understanding.”

The mods mentioned often grant a player infinite in-game currency such as Simoleons or the extraordinarily helpful SimCash. This, in turn, would allow such cheating players to breeze through playable events and win coveted in game
prizes with little to no effort. Other mods include “emulators,” according to Game Changer SalixCat. These mods would allow players to enjoy the mobile game on unsupported devices like computers.

Developers neither condone nor support these mods, and having them shatters the “terms of service” between a player and the developer, even if the player uses the cheat “once only.”

That is, if a player gleefully uses these mods to his advantage, but then complains when his game crashes irreparably, he will not have the EA Help team on his side to save it.
